Came across a curious occurrence just now on Google… it seems that if you search for a term beginning with the letter “e”, Google proceeds to bold every instance of the letter in all display URLs for the Sponsored Links in the sidebar.
Anyone else seeing this? Is this old news? Do I need to change my eye glasses prescription?


So far it works for searches where “e” is part of the name, like “etrade” or “elearning”. However it’s not triggered for searches like “entertainer” or “endocrinologist”.
