American Blinds & Wallpaper Factory was involved in a lawsuit with Google over trademarked/branded keyword bidding on AdWords. Now, Jeff Alderman, who is the Director of Online Marketing and Business Development at American Blinds is asking the LinkedIn Answers community the following question: In your personal opinion is it ethical that some search engines sell branded keywords to competitors to advertising on?

Google Restricts Clickable Areas for Publishers, Not Partners

everal industry blogs yesterday reported that Google AdSense publishers have been getting emails regarding a change to what parts of ad units are clickable. I can’t help but wonder, though, when google is going to enforce a similar policy on their search network partners? Ask.com, Netscape, AOL, Earthlink and AT&T are all permitted to dictate their own versions of what constitutes a click.

Google AdWords Bug? Letter E Bolded in Display URLs

Came across a curious occurrence just now on Google… it seems that if you search for a term beginning with the letter “e”, Google proceeds to bold every instance of the letter in all display URLs for the Sponsored Links in the sidebar.
